Waffles with Chai Nougat Cream

Ingredients:
Waffles

2 cups Plain flour

1 teaspoon salt

4 teaspoons Baking powder

2 tablespoons White sugar

2 eggs
-
1 ½ cups warm milk

1 teaspoon Vanilla
Other ingredients
Chocolate ice-cream of choice
2 1/2 cups Whipped cream
100 g Nougat and Nice Chai nougat
100g Melted dark chocolate
1 1/2 cup of Fresh Strawberries rinsed and halved
Method:
Cook the waffles:

Start by mixing all the wet ingredients together in a bowl then making a well in the center add all the wet ingredients in and mix till completely combined. If you are able to these are best if the mixture can be made the night before and kept in the fridge to rest.

Preheat your waffle maker and cook to the recommendations of your waffle machine or pan.

Cook and allow to cool slightly on a cooling rack to the side
Prepare the Nougat cream:

Start by removing the nougat from wrapper. Roughly chop and place into a food processor and blitz until a very fine crumb.

Taking a small mixing bowl place your whipped cream and the fine nougat crumb and fold together with a spatula, just until combined.
Plating your waffles

Start with your bowls of choice. First place a few scoops of Ice-cream into each bowl.

Next take your waffles and slice them in half and arrange against the balls of ice-cream. Add some dollops of the nougat cream around the bowl. Add some more ice-cream on top.

Finish of by drizzling some melted dark chocolate over the top and fresh strawberries placed around the bowl to finish.

Serve and enjoy immediately with good company.
